I’m 39 and have cataracts in both eyes. Yes, I know that it is a young age to have them. My ophthalmologist has scheduled me for surgery on April 15th for my left eye and the 29th for my right. Why not do them at the same time? My left eye is a lazy eye, but my right eye has more of a cataract in it. What a mess!! LOL! I go back for measurements this week. Just wondering. Thanks!

I only have a cataract in my right eye, my doctor found it strange since I am only in my teens. My left eye works extra hard now. I’m also farsighted in my left eye and nearsighted in my right.

I had cataract surgery 5 years ago. I had complications after surgery and struggled to see for two and a half years one of my problems was cloudy lense in the left eye, had jag laser done in 6/06. My vision was sooooo great. Got glasses for reading a few months later. I was just wondering if anyone here had to have new glasses every two or five years after surgery.

I originally had the procedure performed in 1999, and a re correction about 2 years later on my left eye. Now my vision has reverted back to being almost as bad as it was before the surgery, and I wear glasses for nearsighted. Can I have the Lasik again?
