Anry asked: I am planning to do a LASIK or Laser Eye Surgery, does it has any disadvantages doing it? and what is the difference between Laser and LASIK, which is better and why, I am hesitating whether to do it or not, also I don’t know which one should I choose LASIK or Laser.
P.S. My vision is not so bad, it is something like 1.7 – 2 degrees deviation, am just sick wearing glasses.
Thanks in advance.

I originally had the procedure performed in 1999, and a re correction about 2 years later on my left eye. Now my vision has reverted back to being almost as bad as it was before the surgery, and I wear glasses for nearsighted. Can I have the Lasik again?

its meee asked: I am 20 years old. I’ve had glasses since i was about 16 or 17. I am seriously looking into Lasik eye surgery because i hate wearing my glasses ( i am near sighted)
Recently it seems as though my eyes have gotten worse. My glasses work fine when i have them on, but i’ve been noticing that when i dont wear them, its getting harder & harder to see things i once could.
Question is, how old are you supposed to be to get this done? If i get it done now, and say a year or two down the road it starts getting worse again do they do ‘free touch ups?’
Also, if anyone knows, how does sitting in front of a computer affect your eyes? I’m a writer, so i spend plenty of time in front of the screen.
Thanks!
Also, how do i find a Lasik eye specialist near me..and how do i know they are legit & safe?

Dawn asked:
My eye doctor says I was born with cataracts, they were little but the one in my left eye seems to be getting bigger. I am VERY near sighted with astigatisim and now need bifocals. I see just fine when I wear my glasses. But aside from doctor doing more tests (which I really can’t afford) What happens when the cataract gets too large?

Someone said to me, “if lasik surgery is so effective, then how come the doctors doing it still wear glasses? Why don’t they get it done too?” So now I am wondering the same thing.
