I only have a cataract in my right eye, my doctor found it strange since I am only in my teens. My left eye works extra hard now. I’m also farsighted in my left eye and nearsighted in my right.

I think smoking may not a cause for yr early cataract. Smoking directly affect yr lungs, heart n nerves
Hey
I don’t think smoking has anything to do with cataract.
Smoking can contribute to earlier development of cataracts in the actual smoker , but we are talking about 40 or 50 years of age at least.
i doubt that its due to the smoking. but, have you been punched in the eye? or hit by any other force to the eye? this can lead to a traumatic cataract.
