No insurance and need cataract surgery. Are there any insurance companies that will pick me up?

Mary K asked:

I live in Florida and just found out I need cataract surgery. I do not have any health insurance. Is there any insurance company that I could get insurance with that would cover this?

Your only option would be a group policy through an employer. Then, after the waiting period, usually 6 – 12 months, the surgery would be covered.

It is a Common situation many people have met, calm down, and check the resource i found useful.

If you’ve been without medical insurance for more than 63 days, then any new coverage you might be able to get would not cover this cataract surgery because it would be considered a pre-existing condition.

If the new plan has limitations regarding pre-existing conditions, you might be required to wait as much as 2 years before the surgery would be considered eligible for payment.
