If you have had cataract surgery, how did it affect your ability to work on your hobby?

Yahzmin (US) [busy] asked:

I have two very different hobbies: birdwatching and dollhouse miniatures. I am told I need to have cataract surgery done. I am worried about how the outcome will affect my ability to do these two very different types of hobbies. Any thoughts?

Ya quit being scared. Everyone I know who had cataract surgery could see really well after the surgery healed. It was like the world opened up to them once again.

I had both eyes done 6 years ago. My vision is much better, now. I did have a complication on my left eye. It is an extremely rare occurence, though. The one thing you will notice is that you see true colors. This is because you’ve grown accustomed to looking through a cloudy lens. I never realized the walls in my house were white. I thought they were an off yellow. Until the surgery.

The operation will improve your hobbies.
