I had PRK July 24th, 2007. Is it OK to use Visine or some other OTC eyedrops for minor eye redness?

rocky asked:

Everything is fine, all healed-up, etc. Still taking Flarex once a day for another five days. Also using moisturizing drops throughout the day and “something-PM” ointment at bedtime.

NO!! do not use Visine. Stick with your artificial tears and Refresh PM (I’m assuming…that’s what I use). I had PRK June 14 and my eyes were more irritated and bloodshot for a few weeks. I think I finally noticed clear eyes around my 6 week followup.

I would think that you’ll start seeing a big improvement here shortly.

I would stick to preservative-free eyedrops.
