<a href=""></a>

I had LASIK done in August last year - BEST thing I've ever done! I wore glasses for about 8 years prior and could never find contacts that worked for me. It was a gift from my hubby for my 30th birthday (and the best one I've ever gotten!)

After the procedure I was told to go home and sleep for about 4 hours - this is when the "flap" reseals. They gave me Valium before the procedure and a sleeping pill for afterward (I had my procedure early in the morning). I went back for a follow-up exam later that same day and I was already 20/20. There was some discomfort (like a sandy feeling) and watery eyes that first day, but that was gone by the next day. Bright lights, especially the fluorescent lighting in my office bugged me for a while, but that too went away. Also had some "halos" at night, but not anymore.

I had my surgery on a Friday and went to a football game the next night. I was back to work the following Monday.

I am now 20/15 at least and as happy as can be with my decision to get LASIK. I don't miss my glasses one bit!
